My Top 5 Must-Have Sleep Products for Toddlers and Preschoolers

by | Nov 1, 2023

When it comes to toddler and preschooler sleep, I get asked all the time about the best products to aid in a restful night and more manageable bedtime routine.

As a sleep consultation, I have my fair share of favourite gadgets and gizmos that I often recommend to my clients. Better yet, these are products that I actually use at home with my own 3-year-old preschooler.

So, you know they’ve been mom-tested and approved!

Hatch Baby Rest: A 3-in-1 Sleep Miracle

The Hatch Baby Rest is like the Swiss Army knife of sleep products. It serves as a sound machine, a night light, and an “okay-to-wake” clock.

What really sets it apart for me is its programmability from my phone. If my toddler wakes up a few minutes before it’s time, I can conveniently adjust the settings to signal that it’s morning. It also means that if he’s having a lazy weekend morning (a rarity, but it happens!), I can let him sleep in without any fuss.

Affirmation Cards: Boosting Positivity Before Bed

We love incorporating affirmation cards into the early part of our bedtime routine. Just before diving into our favourite bedtime stories, these cards set a positive tone and prepare my little one for a peaceful night’s sleep.

KeaBabies Toddler Pillow: The Perfect First Pillow

If you’re considering introducing a pillow into your child’s sleep setup, I highly recommend the KeaBabies Toddler Pillow. It’s the perfect size, made of organic cotton, and provides the right amount of neck support for a growing kiddo.

Perlimpinpin Sleep Sacks: Cozy and Durable

When it comes to sleep sacks, the Perlimpinpin ones are my go-to. They are super cozy and incredibly durable. I’ve used them for both of my kids into the toddler stage, and they are still in excellent condition—a true testament to their quality!

Door Monkey: Prioritizing Safety

Safety should always come first, especially during nighttime when you can’t always keep a watchful eye. I recommend a Door Monkey, which acts as a lock to keep your toddler from wandering around the house at night (while still keeping their door slightly open). If you’re not confident that they would come directly to you upon leaving their room, a Door Monkey or a baby gate can help confine them to their room or a smaller section of your house (we use a baby gate at the top of the stairs).

Final Thoughts

These products have been game-changers in our household, and I believe they can be in yours too. This post was not sponsored, but as an Amazon affiliate, I may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases, but this comes at no additional cost to you.

So, if you’re ready to make bedtime a little less stressful and a lot more restful, give these products a try!
